Upon entering the 21st century, the environment is becoming one of the most pressing issues for the world. This course is designed to introduce global environmental politics to student from different angles: (1) main global environmental issues, e.g., climate change, waste trade, biodiversity conservation; (2) global environmental governance and main international environmental organizations, e.g., UNEP, World Commission on Dams; (3) political theoretical reflections inspired by global environmental politics.
