陳曉彤CHEN Xiaotong Class of 2023; Beacon Management (Hong Kong) The GPGC program has given me a deep understanding of modern political research in Greater China. I've had the chance to dive into topics like how the government and society interact, citizenship rights, civil society, and democratization. I am truly grateful for the amazing guidance and knowledge from my professors. Now, armed with this newfound wisdom, I feel inspired to put these valuable insights into practice. I want to explore and apply them not only on the global stage but also within the vibrant Greater Bay Area of China.

蘭晨磊 Class 2021 「『海納百川，有容乃大』，GPGC的課堂是傳統與現代、東方與西方交匯碰撞的辯論場，這裡有甘陽的『通三統』，也有新儒家的『開出說』；既有來自羅爾斯的『正義論』，也有王紹光的『政道論』，中西融合，使你仿佛置身於多元的十字路口。在這樣多元的視角下，會使我們更加全面的理解如今的『大變局』，而在我們的詰問，思考，疑惑和求證中，閃爍著人性與智慧的碎片便產生了。」
林笑 Class 2021 「我想在GPGC就讀這一年一定會是我人生中一段難忘的時光。GPGC對我來說意味著什麼？是啟蒙，是思想和自我的啟蒙，是更加瞭解自己，探索出自己從未有過的另一面，是思維的轉換，是從更廣闊更平和更包容的視角看問題，很多個瞬間腦海中會出現『竟然可以這樣想』的看法。在GPGC裡最大的收穫是認識了一群溫暖的老師和同學。和老師之間的關係不僅僅局限在教室裡，我們會在春天裡徒步校園，聽老師講中大每個建築背後的故事；會在春節假期裡去老師家，雖然不能回家過年但也擁有另一種熱鬧；會在結課的時候去老師家裡喝酒看電影，一群人圍坐溫暖的燈光下，談未來談思想，每個人的眼睛裡都閃著光，熱血又興奮，那一刻，我似乎感受到：我未曾觸摸過星星，但我曾離宇宙那樣近。」
楊益玲 Ran Yeung Class 2021; Liaison Officer, Home Affairs Department, Hong Kong SAR Government " GPGC programme - my “fortuitous encounter” – a serendipity experiencing the indelible moments amid the 2019 Hong Kong protests and COVID-19 Pandemic. Throughout our life, we may undergo difficult times. But we should never forget why we need to learn the ropes of politics. Always bear in mind the cornerstone of reflective and independent thinking and be attentive to our surroundings. Realizing the significance of the Greater China in different perspectives before getting to know about the world is how the wind is blowing. Lastly, thanks to our experienced professors, who inspired us at not merely academic ground, but awaked us the importance of lifelong learning and growth. I believe the most precious value of GPGC is to provide Chinese liberal scholars a platform on which they can show their academic achievements in a free environment. 吳欣純 Class 2019; 記者、主播，鳳凰衛視（香港）「本科新聞和播音主持的背景，加上在時政訪談節目的實習，使我對中國的政治經濟議題產生了興趣。為了完善自己在相關方面的知識框架、更好的規劃和發展自己的職業，我報讀了GPGC課程。與其他中國研究課程相比，GPGC的專業性強、範圍比較集中。我受益最深的莫過於研究方法和多角度思考技巧。畢業後我從事的新聞編輯工作需要處理兩岸三地新聞。當我需要為採訪嘉賓做準備時，我知道如何高效地搜集關鍵資料，抽絲剝繭，理出採訪提綱和節目內容。」
Philip Mulder 穆飛 Class 2019; Director of Career and College Counseling, Vanke Meisha Bilingual School " With 8 years of work experience before applying for this Master’s, I was the non-traditional US Citizen in the 2018 /2019 cohort. Being unique in the class, I was healthily challenged in multiple ways – from critically analyzing my country’s own policies using an Asian lens to realizing my thinking patterns contrasted from my younger peers, allowing me to fill the elderly brother role within the class. It refreshed my approach to learning and helped me critically analyze my own perspective while sharpening my thinking by incorporating more complexity into my research to encompass Asian history, mindsets, and public policy institutions and processes. The professors were excellent guides in helping us think comprehensively and concisely as my classmates mastered the content and applied it through rigorous research and professional written work. Studying about Greater China’s various governmental policies and institutional processes was a linguistic challenge as several courses were in Mandarin Chinese, but in the end, there is no better place to study the region than at CUHK which lies at the heart of Greater China itself. "

馮雪飛 Class 2019; China Development Bank (Hunan Branch) " GPGC is an original and pioneering programme. What makes it special is that it focuses on the crucial and often controversial issues in the socio-political developments of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Although the one-year study period is short, the quality and quantity of courses offered by GPGC are very substantial, which fully enhanced my political sensitivity and my understanding of the political pattern of East Asia. The excellent alumni resources of GPGC is also worth mentioning. Through Alumni Day and its career sharing sessions, I fully benefit from the social resources, contacts and the latest job information brought by outstanding alumni, and eventually develop my own map of career development. 王事通 Class 2017; 上海市政府通過大中華地區的政府與政治課程，我最重要的收穫有三點：一是重建了自己的社會科學方法論，用前沿的、系統化的研究方法來提出問題、分析問題、解決問題。二是重構了自己的政治思維模式，脫離僅僅關注社會分配問題的思維層級，更深入的關注社會的發展與進步。三是重塑了自己的政治哲學的價值取向，重新審視各種價值之間的衝突，並尋求自己的平衡之道。而我相信，在任何行業中，通過我們GPGC課程所學到的這些方法論、思維模式與價值觀，都會成為最寶貴的財富。

Studying about Greater China’s various governmental policies and institutional processes was a linguistic challenge as several courses were in Mandarin Chinese, but in the end, there is no better place to study the region than at CUHK which lies at the heart of Greater China itself.
